App access

1. App Access & User Accounts

Ashvadhenu is a farmer management app. Access to most features requires you to create an account and sign in using your mobile number and password. Some basic information may be visible only after login.

• The app is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

2.1 Information you provide to us

When you use the App, we may collect the following information:

• Account details: mobile number, password (stored as a secure hash), first name, last name.
• Farm profile: village, state, approximate farm size (e.g. acres / number of animals), and similar farm-related details that you choose to enter.
• Animal records: animal tags/IDs, breed, age, location, notes, and related farm management data.
• Expense records: expense categories, amounts, dates and notes used for your own farm expense tracking.
• Market listings: animal type, price and other listing details when you create buy/sell listings.

2.2 Automatically collected information

When you use the App, some technical data may be collected automatically, such as:

• Device information (device model, OS version).
• Log data (IP address, timestamps, error logs) used for diagnostics and security.

We do not collect precise GPS location unless such a feature is explicitly added in the future and clearly shown to you.

Purpose

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your user account and authenticate you.
• To show and manage your farm, animals and expense records.
• To provide features such as animal registration, inbreeding checks, cattle feed planning and marketplace listings.
• To personalise your experience (for example, showing your name on the dashboard).
• To monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the App.
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues or misuse.
• To comply with legal obligations if required by applicable law.

4. Advertising & Monetisation

At the time of this policy, Ashvadhenu does not display third-party ads within the app and does not use your data for targeted advertising.

If advertising or new monetisation features are added in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request your consent.

Sharing

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share your information only in the following cases:

• Service providers: with trusted third-party providers (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting) who process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Your data is stored on secure servers (for example, cloud databases such as MongoDB Atlas) and is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

If you would like your account and associated data to be deleted, you can contact us using the email provided below. After verification, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time, except for data that we are legally required to retain.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

• Password hashing before storing in the database.
• HTTPS/SSL for secure communication with the backend API.
• Access controls and restricted database access.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data as safe as reasonably possible.

Ashvadhenu is intended for use by adult farmers and farm staff. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9.1 Government apps

Ashvadhenu is developed and operated by a private entity and is not an official government app or service.

9.2 Financial features

The app may allow you to record your own farm expenses and basic financial information for tracking purposes only. We do not provide banking services, loans, or regulated financial products inside the app.

Any amounts you enter (for example, expense entries or animal prices) are purely for your own record-keeping.

9.3 Health

Ashvadhenu does not provide medical or veterinary advice. Any information about animal health, breeding or care is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
